In our first step we are beginning the investigation on the reality of our being, and the three elements that stand out are the Body, the Mind, and Awareness.
Notice that the body and the mind share the same quality, which is variability or vibration. All physical sensation is variable or changing, it’s not static. And all thoughts and images are equally variable or changing.
However, the awareness with which you experience the body and mind is not variable or changing, it is permanent and always recognized as the same. Awareness does not share the qualities of body and mind.
This is the greatest revelation in our whole path! Because the rest of our investigation will be based on this recognition. Begin to notice how awareness precedes body and mind. In other words, awareness is essential to experience body and mind.
Lastly, I want you to observe that you are the awareness of the body and the mind.

When we realize that we are not the body or the mind, something interesting is revealed, and that is that the dynamic of identifying ourselves with thoughts doesn’t define us. This is the beginning of the dismantling of that which we call the ego or separate self, and it’s the crucial element for mind liberation and healing.
At the same time, since we can now recognize the mental character that is the ego, we can also turn back, so to speak, to our true self and commune with it. This not only opens the portal to decondition the mind and liberate it from all its false beliefs, but we also enhance the certainty of who we truly are.
At this point, we have arrived at the essential state of meditation, the simple abiding in our true identity, pure and undifferentiated awareness, while releasing all the mental tensions we may be carrying over with us, and stand in the unbroken peace of our being.
With this, you have now learned how to meditate and recognize that which you are not, dissolving the ego with every instance you recognize who you are.

As we found out in the previous video, reaching the observer state is the most sought-after goal in most spiritual disciplines that take this direction of mental liberation, and it is a highly valuable and potentially transformative state. If only a small percentage of the world’s population appreciated this state, the world would be different.
However, in the non-dual investigation of reality, this is not the final step, because there still exists a separation between the observer and the observed. Therefore, we want to take our investigation to the point of noticing that the substance, so to speak, of which everything is made, is the same as our being. In other words, all experience is a modulation of the awareness that I fundamentally am.
The exploration of this undeniable reality is what gives rise to the mystical experience, where only peace remains in stillness, joy in movement, beauty in perception, and love in relation to everything. Our life gradually becomes more and more filled with this natural appreciation of recognizing who we are.
In a single investigation into our true identity, we have answered the two fundamental questions of our existence: What is the nature of reality? And how do I attain unperturbable and lasting happiness? Everything is within ourselves.
The product that develops over time is this mental liberation from the shadows that only needed to be illuminated by the light of knowledge, and we call this process Enlightenment. This is the true awakening of consciousness.
